Centre for Financial Sustainability (CFS), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan
The Centre for Financial Sustainability (CFS), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, was established on 1 July 2025 to support the university’s efforts in achieving long-term financial sustainability through strategic, well-structured, and high-impact approaches.
CFS was introduced as an initiative to strengthen financial resources through sustainable funding and income generation. Through the concepts of philanthropy, endowment, waqf, and income-generating activities, UMK is able to develop various academic, research, welfare, and entrepreneurship initiatives in line with its aspiration to be a leading institution in entrepreneurship education in Malaysia.
The organisational structure of the centre consists of three main divisions:
Funding Division – comprising the Endowment & Research Chair Unit, the Waqf & Infaq Unit, and the Zakat Unit.
Income Generation Division – comprising the Space, Facilities & General Management Unit, and the Academic, Research & Innovation Income Unit.
Administration & Finance Division – responsible for the management of human resources, finance, and governance of the centre.
